Martha Plimpton Set to Replace Parker Posey in Hurlyburly

Martha Plimpton is set to replace Parker Posey as Darlene in David Rabe’s Hurlyburly on June 14. Posey will give her last performance in the show on June 11, after which she’ll begin shooting the film Superman Returns; she won the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her work in Hurlyburly.

Plimpton most recently appeared Off-Broadway in the Classic Stage Company production of The False Servant. Among her other recent New York stage credits are Boston Marriage, Hobson’s Choice, Flesh and Blood, and Sixteen Wounded.

Hurlburly is scheduled to continue its run at the 37 Arts Theater through July 2. The current cast also includes Ethan Hawke, Josh Hamilton, Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Berkeley, and Halley Wegryn Gross.
