It has just been announced that Neve Campbell and Michael Hayden will star in the New York premiere of Allan Knee’s Syncopation.

The play, which won the American Theater Critics Award following its 1999 premiere at the Long Wharf Theater, is a comic drama about the unlikely romance between a meat packer and a seamstress in a turn-of-the-century Manhattan dance studio. The Broadway production will be directed by John Tillinger and choreographed by John O’Connell; the design team includes John Lee Beatty (sets), Catherine Zuber (costumes), Brian MacDevitt (lighting), and John Gromada (sound).

Syncopations will begin previews at the Longacre Theatre on October 2 in advance of an October 24 opening. Tickets may be purchased by calling 212-239-6200.
