It has just been announced that Barbra's Wedding, the comedy by Daniel Stern that is running at the Westside Theater, will close following the evening performance on June 15 after having played 24 previews and 117 regular performances.

Barbra's Wedding tells the story of a neurotic former television star who is tremendously upset about the fact that he hasn't been invited to Barbra Streisand's wedding to James Brolin, even though he and his wife live next door to Streisand. When the two-person show opened in March 2003, it starred John Pankow and Julie White; Pankow is still in the cast, but Nancy Opel has taken over White's role.

In his review of the show for TheaterMania, David Finkle wrote: "In short -- and, at 80 minutes, Barbra's Wedding isn't nearly short enough -- Daniel Stern's maiden effort is definitely not like buttah."
