The Lincoln Center Theater production of Anthony Giardina's new political drama The City of Conversation celebrated its opening night at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater on Monday, May 5. Directed by Doug Hughes, the production stars Jan Maxwell as Hester Ferris, a Washington, D.C. political hostess who must face personal losses that her choices inflict on her family over the course of 30 years. Featured with Maxwell are Kristen Bush, Michael Simpson, Luke Niehaus, Beth Dixon, Kevin O'Rourke, John Aylward, Phillip James Brannon, and Barbara Garrick.
