World-acclaimed illusionist Ivan Amodei is traveling to New York City this weekend to bring his show Intimate Illusions from Beverly Hills' historic Beverly Wilshire Hotel — his venue for the past three years — to the Roosevelt Hotel for two days of performances.

Amodei has curated a 90-minute "magical and musical" event, set among intimate candlelit decor akin to a glamorous Hollywood after-party. Ivan has created all of the illusions that appear in his show, each with its own special story and each incorporating lots of audience participation.

Concert cellist Irina Chirkova will provide live music, performing classical pieces by Vivaldi, Bach, and Mozart, as well as the music of modern composers, including Henry Mancini, Philip Glass, and Hans Zimmer.

Performances at the Roosevelt Hotel will take place Saturday, May 10, at 4pm, 7pm, and 9:30pm, and Sunday, May 11, at 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm. Business attire is required.
