The New York premiere of Samuel D. Hunter's The Few, now running off-Broadway at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, has announced a two-week extension. The production, which was originally scheduled to close June 8, will now run through June 21. The play began previews on April 23 in advance of an official May 8 opening.

Directed by Davis McCallum, The Few tells the story of Bryan, who abandoned his labor of love, a newspaper for truckers, four years ago. When he returns, he finds that things have changed: His former lover is filled with rage, his new coworker is filled with incessant adoration, and his paper is filled with personal ads. As he considers giving up for good, Bryan searches for what he couldn't find on the road: a way to keep faith in humanity.

The cast features Gideon Glick (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark), Michael Laurence (Appropriate), and Tasha Lawrence (Hunter's The Whale).
