The Broadway production of The Bridges of Madison County, scheduled to end its run at the Schoenfeld Theatre on May 18, will celebrate the musical's newly released cast recording with a concert and album signing at the East 86th Street Barnes and Noble on May 23. The 5pm signing will feature stars Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale, as well as composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown at the piano, Justin Goldner and Gary Seiger on guitars, Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello, and other cast members to be announced.
Ghostlight Records releases the album in stores on May 19. The CD includes a deluxe 32-page booklet with complete lyrics, color photos, a synopsis by Marsha Norman, notes by Jason Robert Brown, and an essay by theater critic Jesse Green.
Directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, the musical features a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman that is inspired by the best-selling novel of the same title. The principal company also includes Hunter Foster, Derek Klena, Caitlin Kinnunen, Whitney Bashor, Cass Morgan, and Michael X. Martin.
