The Joyce Theater has announced the programming planned for its 2014-2015 fall/winter season, which will begin September 9 with the New York premiere of Christopher Wheeldon's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Wheeldon's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland will be performed by the dancers of the National Ballet of Canada at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. Ballet will also be highlighted throughout The Joyce's season with companies such as Pacific Northwest Ballet, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, and Les Ballets de Trockadero de Monte Carlo — returning for its biannual holiday engagement.

The season's contemporary dance offerings will include Complexions Dance Company, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, Doug Varone and Dancers, Parsons Dance, and Russell Maliphant. There will also be a week shared by the New York-based doug elkins choreography, etc. and BODYTRAFFiC, from Los Angeles.

With the return of Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenca, from Spain, Nederlands Dans Theater 2, and the New York debut of Cia. Unión Tanguera, with roots in both Argentina and France, the season will feature an international focus as well.

The Joyce Theater Foundation has been home to more than 320 domestic and international companies. In 2009, The Joyce opened Dance Art New York (DANY) Studios to provide affordable studios for rehearsals, auditions, classes, and workshops for independent choreographers, nonprofit dance companies, and the dance/theater communities.
