Alexander Sharp, Ian Barford, and More to Star in Broadway's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Casting has been announced for the National Theatre production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Simon Stephens' new play adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel. Marianne Elliott will direct the production, which will begin performances on September 10 and officially open on October 5 at the Barrymore Theatre.
The cast will feature Alexander Sharp in his Broadway debut as Christopher, Ian Barford (August: Osage County) as Ed, Helen Carey (London Assurance) as Mrs. Alexander, Francesca Faridany (The 39 Steps) as Siobhan, and Enid Graham (The Constant Wife) as Judy. The ensemble includes Jocelyn Bioh, Mercedes Herrero, Richard Hollis, Ben Horner, and David Manis. Taylor Trensch (Matilda The Musical) will play Christopher at some performances.
In The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, 15-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain; he is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor's dog, he sets out on a journey to identify the true culprit.
Following a sold-out run at the National's Cottesloe Theatre in 2012, the play transferred to London's West End. The production received seven 2013 Olivier Awards, including Best New Play.
