52nd Street Project to Present Teen Ensemble One-Act Festival

The festival will feature new plays by adult authors performed by 17 members of the Project’s Teen Ensemble.

The 52 Street Project has announced that it will present the Teen Ensemble One-Act Festival this weekend, May 30 and 31, at Five Angels Theater. The plays will be performed by 17 members of the Project's Teen Ensemble: Hashem Ahmed, Michael Bannister, Elena Caballera, Natalia Caballero, Joyce Cheung, Gabriella DeJesus, Devin Gonzalez, Brandon Leon, Haley Martinez, Jaszmine Mikell, Dante Quinones, Martin Carter Sanchez, Edison Sibri, Nathaly Trinidad, Mari Ullo, Tiara Varela, and Elizabeth Vazques.

The weekend event, titled Get Yourself Together, will feature new plays by six adult authors, helmed by six adult directors. Playwrights include Jihan Crowther, Lucas Kavner, Patrick Link, Matthew Paul Olmos, Melisa Tien, and Liz Tuccillo. The festival's directors will be Nic Grelli, Ruy Iskandar, Erin Mallon, Natalie Paul, Colette Robert, and Max Rosenak.

The 52 Street Project's mission is "about giving a kid an opportunity to prove that he or she has something of value to offer, something that comes from within that he or she alone possesses, something that cannot be taken away."
