Hopefully June 10 will be a warm spring night, because the Skivvies are coming to 54 Below in nothing but their…skivvies.

Broadway veteran Lauren Molina (Rock of Ages, Sweeney Todd) and Nick Cearley (All Shook Up national tour) make up the comedy-pop duo, The Skivvies, whose living room videos made them a YouTube phenomenon. They sing mashups of popular tunes, nearly in the buff, while accompanying themselves on cello and ukulele as well as a variety of other underrepresented instruments including glockenspiel and melodica (a hybrid of the melodeon and harmonica).

They plan to bring their unique musicality to 54 Below in a 9:30pm show on June 10, along with a number of special guests including Tony Award winner Laura Benanti (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), Two-time Tony Award nominee Alison Fraser (Love Therapy),Tony Award nominee Rory O’Malley (The Book of Mormon), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies), Adam Kantor (The Last Five Years), Morgan James (Motown), Leslie McDonel (American Idiot), and Wesley Taylor (The Addams Family, NBC’s Smash). Shannon Ford will be featured on drums with Katrina Yaukey (War Horse) on accordion and sax.

For a taste of what’s to come, take a look at The Skivvies performing a private concert in TheaterMania’s very own kitchen.
