Tim Blake Nelson, Jesse Williams, Noah Wyle to Star in Snake and Mongoose Film

Tim Blake Nelson has joined the cast of the upcoming drag racing film Snake And Mongoose, according to the website Deadline.com.

Nelson will play drag racing announcer McAllister in the film, which tells the story of the rivalry between racing legends Don “The Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen. He joins cast members Jesse Williams (Prudhomme), Richard Blake (McEwen), Noah Wyle (Mattel Inc. executive Art Spear), Kim Shaw, and Ashley Hinshaw.

Nelson’s stage credits include the 2009 Shakespeare in the Park production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and he has appeared on screen in such films as O Brother, Where Art Thou?. Williams has appeared on stage in Edward Albee’s The Sandbox and on television in Grey’s Anatomy.

Wayne Holloway directs the film, which he co-wrote with Alan Paradise. The film will be made in partnership with the National Hot Rod Association.
