Matthew James Thomas, who performs the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man at select performances of the musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, greeted eight-year-old Spidey fan Armando Bigo following the show’s Saturday, May 26 matinee.

Bigo was shot in the Bronx while out shopping with his mother several months ago, and has since made an amazing recovery.

Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark, which performs at the Foxwoods Theatre, features music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley, original direction by Julie Taymor, and a book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
