Nice Work If You Can Get It to Launch National Tour in Fall 2013

The new musical Nice Work If You Can Get It, currently playing Broadway’s Imperial Theatre, will launch a national tour in the Fall of 2013. Tour direction is by The Booking Group.

The musical follows Billie Bendix, a tough-as-nails bootlegger who meets wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter on the weekend of his nuptials. It features iconic George and Ira Gershwin songs, as well as some unknown gems in their catalog, and a book by Joe DiPietro.

Two-time Tony winner Matthew Broderick stars in the Broadway production, along with 2012 Tony nominees Kelli O’Hara, Michael McGrath, and Judy Kaye. Also featured are Terry Beaver, Robyn Hurder Stanley Wayne Mathis, Estelle Parsons, Jennifer Laura Thompson, and Chris Sullivan.

Casting for the tour will be announced at a later date.

The production features scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Martin Pakledinaz, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski, sound design by Brian Ronan and orchestrations by Bill Elliott. The music supervisor is David Chase and the music director Tom Murray. General Management is by 101 Productions Ltd.
