This annual event, benefitting the life-saving, life-affirming work of The Trevor Project, brings together top entertainers and corporate leaders in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth in crisis. Stephen Friedman, President of MTV, will accept the Trevor 2020 Award presented to MTV at the event.
Mayer won the Tony Award in 2007 for Best Direction of a Musical for his work on Spring Awakening. Additional Broadway credits include American Idiot, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and A View from the Bridge.
