Max Maven: Thinking in Person will play an Off-Broadway run at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, June 12-July 1, with an opening on June 14. Alexander Marshall will direct.

The world famous mentalist and master magician sets out to take the audience on a journey to explore some of the mysteries of the human mind and aims to challenge our assumptions of what we think we know with the mystery of what we can’t know.

The production will also feature Melanie Crispin in the role of The Assistant. Jules Fisher has designed the lighting and the set is designed by Alan E. Muraoka.

Maven, who was named by Orson Welles as “the most original mind in magic,” innovated many of the magical and mentalist effects that are used by other magicians such as David Copperfield, Penn & Teller, and Siegfried & Roy.
