Kurt Braunohler, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Janeane Garofalo Set for Cabinet of Wonders

Musician and author John Wesley Harding will continue his Cabinet of Wonders residency at City Winery beginning on May 19.

Harding’s Cabinet of Wonders draws together collaborators from the worlds of music, literature, and comedy. Harding curates and hosts the event and also performs with the artists in a variety show format.

Artists featured at Cabinet of Wonders May performances will include Kurt Braunohler, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Janeane Garofalo, Kelly Hogan, Lenny Kaye, Sam Lipsyte, Tift Merritt and Simone Dinnerstein, and Langhorne Slim.

In addition, Cabinet of Wonders is joining together with NPR to record and broadcast the show beginning this spring. Recorded live at City Winery this past winter and airing in six one-hour episodes, NPR’s “Cabinet of Wonders” will feature artists including Ted Leo, Josh Ritter, Craig Finn, Nicole Atkins, comedy from Eugene Mirman and John Hodgman, and readings from authors Patrick McGrath, Colson Whitehead, and Rick Moody among others.
