Katrina Lenk will play the role of Arachne in the Broadway production of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, at the Foxwoods Theatre, beginning May 29. She replaces Christina Sajous, who will play her final performance on May 27.

The musical is inspired by over 40 years of Marvel comic books. It follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and must learn that with great powers comes great responsibility. It features music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley, original direction by Julie Taymor, and a book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Lenk joins a cast that also includes Reeve Carney as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Patrick Page as The Green Goblin, and Rebecca Faulkenberry as Mary Jane Watson.

Scenic designer George Tsypin and costume designer Eiko Ishioka were recently nominated for Tony Awards for their work on this production.
