The Broadway revival of Gore Vidal's The Best Man, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, has been extended a second time and will now play through Sunday, September 9.

Michael Wilson directs this play, set at the national convention where two candidates are vying for their party's nomination during the primary season.

The production features Candice Bergen, Curtis Billings, Corey Brill, Kerry Butler, Donna Hanover, James Earl Jones, Bill Kux, Angela Lansbury, John Larroquette, Dakin Matthews, Jefferson Mays, Eric McCormack, Michael McKean, and Fred Parker Jr.

The production was recently nominated for a 2012 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play as well as a Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play nomination for Jones.
