The Broadway production of Mamma Mia!, at the Winter Garden Theatre, has announced new principal casting which will go into effect on Monday, June 4.

Mamma Mia! uses the songs of ABBA as it follows the story of a forty-something mother planning her daughter’s wedding — unaware that the girl has invited three men who might be her father. The show has music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, is written by Catherine Johnson, and directed by Phyllida Lloyd.

As previously reported, Judy McLane will take over the role of Donna Sheridan on June 4. She will be joined by Felicia Finley and Lauren Cohn as Tanya and Rosie, Donna’s best friends and former back-up band.

Aaron Lazar, Daniel Cooney and Graham Rowat will star as Sam Carmichael, Bill Austin and Harry Bright, the trio of men from Donna’s past who are Sophie’s three possible dads. Christy Altomare and Zak Resnick will both make their Broadway debuts opposite each other as bride-to-be Sophie Sheridan and her fiancé Sky.

Continuing in the cast will be Jacob Pinion as Sky’s sidekick Pepper. The musical also features Halle Morse as Lisa and Traci Victoria as Ali, Sophie’s best friends, and Andrew Chappelle as Eddie.
