Claybourne Elder, Darren Ritchie, Melissa Van der Schyff Set for 2012 TRU Voices New Plays Reading Series

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) will present the 2012 TRU Voices New Plays Reading Series, Mondays June 4-18 at The Roy Arias Theatre. Admission is free but reservations are required.

The series will include three new plays. On June 4, David Lee will direct Foreclosure by Vincent Delaney, a comedic look at the collapse at the American ideal of having a home, featuring Darren Ritchie, Melissa Van der Schyff, Claybourne Elder, Joanna Howard, and Rebecca Fisher. Mondays Dark Theatre Company in association with Kenny Howard of The Broadway Consortium will present.

Then, on June 11, will be Appendage by Derek Murphy, a dark comedy in which accidents don’t just happen, directed by Frank Licato and presented by Tweiss Productions.

Michael Bettencourt’s The Sin Eater, a play about an unlikely alliance between two women to create a world where children do not have to pay a cost for being children, will end the series. Sue Lawless will direct. Block & Tackle Productions, Inc. and Elfin Frederick Vogel will present.
