Brian Keith MacDonald, Ashley Strand, Lindsay Tanner Cast in Island Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing
Island Shakespeare will present an immersive production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, running June 15-July 1 at the Eastwood Amphitheater on Roosevelt Island.
Directed by Thomas Kee, an original American cast member of Punchdrunk’s Sleep No More, the company includes Samuel Adams, Bethany Kay, Brian Keith MacDonald, Michael Moreno, Rebeca Odorisio, Robert Karma Robinson, Mark St Cyr, Ashley Strand, Lindsay Tanner, and Leigh Williams.
Audience members have the choice of following the story or a character, or they can explore the piazza on their own as they’re invited to drink and dance with the soldiers of Garibaldi’s “Expedition of 1000,” in the 1860s-set production.
