Billy Elliot’s Alex Ko to Guest Star on ABC Family’s Bunheads
Alex Ko — who played the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical on Broadway from October 2009-May 2011 — will guest star in the third episode of the new ABC Family series Bunheads, to air Monday, June 25. The episode was directed by Kenny Ortega.
Bunheads stars Sutton Foster as a Las Vegas showgirl who impulsively marries a man, moves to his quiet coastal town, and takes a job as a teacher at a dance school run by her new mother-in-law, played by Kelly Bishop. The series is executive produced by Amy Sherman-Palladino.
