Steve Cuiffo will offer three performances of Steve Cuiffo Is Lenny Bruce: Alive in Greenwich Village at Le Poisson Rouge on July 9, 16 and 23 at 8:30pm.

The show is a compilation of Bruce’s routines on still-hot topics including organized religion, race, drugs, sexual mores, obscenity and the Constitution.

Cuiffo’s recreation of Bruce’s Carnegie Hall show was seen at St. Ann’s Warehouse earlier this year and the actor performed a brief impersonation of Bruce as part of The Foundry Theatre’s Major Bang. His other performing credits include appearances in The Wooster Group’s North Atlantic, Radiohole’s Fluke, The Foundry Theatre’s The Roaring Girle, Donald Byrd’s Byrdlesque and Tea Alagic’s The Filament Cycle.
