Second Stage Extends Lynn Nottage’s By the Way, Meet Vera Stark Through June 12

Second Stage Theater has announced a second extension of its world premiere production of Lynn Nottage’s By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, which will now close on June 12.

Directed by Jo Bonney, the play stars Sanaa Lathan, Stephanie J. Block, Daniel Breaker, David Garrison, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Kevin Isola and Karen Olivo.

The play takes a 70-year journey through the life of Vera Stark (Lathan), a headstrong African-American maid and budding actress, and her tangled relationship with her boss, a white Hollywood star desperately grasping to hold on to her career (Block).
