PHOTO FLASH: Press Preview of Cirque du Soleil’s Zarkana

The new Cirque du Soleil show Zarkana held a press event at Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, May 24. The show will begin performances at the venue on June 9, with an official opening on June 29.

The presentation included a preview of acts from the show, and remarks from Cirque du Soleil President and CEO Daniel Lamarre and Zarkana writer and director François Girard.

The new show takes place in an abandoned theater and follows a magician named Zark who has lost his love and with her, his magic has disappeared. As he cries and begs the Gods for her return he is plunged into a world inhabited by surreal creatures.
