Pete Townshend to Write Memoir to Be Published in Fall 2012

Pete Townshend, the Tony Award-winning guitarist for the legendary rock band, The Who, will write his memoir Pete Townshend: Who He? , which will be released in fall 2012 by Harper Collins, according to published reports.

Townshend earned the Tony Award for the score of The Who’s Tommy, the 1993 Broadway musical adaptation of The Who’s classic album. His music was also featured in the Broadway revue, Rock & Roll: The First 5,000 Years.

Townshend also earned an Oscar nomination for his work on the film version of Tommy, which was directed by Ken Russell.
