Nate Miller and Sara Thigpen will star as Benedick and Beatrice, respectively, in The Boomerang Theatre Company’s production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado about Nothing, to be presented free-of-charge in Central Park, June 18-July 17. Daniel Talbott will direct.

When returning soldiers come home from war, the romantic battles begin! Beatrice loves and hates Benedick at the same time, returning his amour with each stinging put down and quip. Benedick loves the game when he’s winning, and despises Beatrice when he’s not. On the sundrenched hills of Italy, hearts are won, lost and won again all for the glory of true love…and who can get the last word in.

The cast will also include Edward Carnevale, Colby Chambers, Jon Dykstra, John Egan, Alex Engquist, Brad Lewandowski, Ralph Petrarca, Maria Peyramaure, Laura Ramadei, Erik Sherr, Sid Solomon, Mark Souza, and Jelena Stupljanin.

The creative team will include Carolyn Pallister (costumes), Carrie Brewer (fight direction), and Becky Byers (choreography).

Audiences should enter the park at 69th Street and Central Park West, following signs to the left. Seating is on the ground; patrons are encouraged to bring a blanket or small folding chair. No tickets are required for the performances, which are free and open to all.
