Mimi Imfurst, Hedda Lettuce, et al. to Guest Star in My Big Gay Italian Wedding

The Off-Broadway production of Anthony J. Wilkinson’s My Big Gay Italian Wedding, at the St. Luke’s Theatre, will celebrate Gay Pride Month by featuring one of NYC’s hottest Drag Queens in the role of Rodney each week in June. Teresa A. Cicala has directed the production.

The line-up will include Imperial Court of New York Empress XXIV 2010-2011 Farrah Moans (June 2-4); “The Queen of Green” Hedda Lettuce (June 9-11); Ms. Mimi Imfurst from RuPaul’s Drag Race (June 16-18); and Stacy Lane Matthews, also from RuPaul’s Drag Race (June 23-25).

My Big Gay Italian Wedding focuses on two gay men as they plan their wedding and the people around them, including an overbearing Italian mother, a jealous ex-boyfriend, the wedding planner from Hell, and an assortment of family and friends.

The production currently features Anthony J. Wilkinson, Marty Thomas, Erik Ransom, Adam Shorsten, Brett Douglas, Liz Gerecitano, Leah Gerstel, Randi Kaplan, Chad Kessler, Kim Sozzi, Marissa Rosen, Meagan Robar, Joe Scanio, Joey Murray, Billy Yoder and Stephen Mark Lukas.

The production also features choreography by J. Austin Eyer, scenic design by Rob Santeramo, costume design by Philip Heckman, lighting design by Graham Kindred, choreography by J. Austin Eyer, and original music and lyrics by David James Boyd.
