Klea Blackurst, Nellie McKay, Jane Monheit, Christine Pedi, et al. to Appear at May 10 MAC Awards

An updated last of performers and presenters for the 2011 MAC Awards, honoring the best of cabaret, comedy, and jazz, have been announced. The ceremony, to be hosted by Christine Pedi, will be held at 7:30pm on Tuesday, May 10 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. Lennie Watts will direct the program, with musical direction by Steven Ray Watkins.

Performers and presenters will include Jane Monheit, Johnny Rodgers, Uptown Express, Natalie Douglas, Sharon McNight, Julie Gold, Klea Blackhurst, Nellie McKay, Baby Jane Dexter, Tommy Femia, Judy Barnett, Ricky Ritzel, Bobby Peaco, Rick Jensen, Ritt Henn, Lorinda Lisitza, Karen Mack, Sue Matsuki, Miles Phillips, Danielle Grabianowski, Ben Cherry, Daryl Glenn, Bradshaw Smith, Helen Baldassare, Jay Rogers, Lina Koutrakos, Barry Kleinbort, Ruby Rims, Jamie deRoy, and Scott Barnes


The evening’s honorees will include Annie Ross, George Sanders, and Marianne Challis.
