The play concerns an Upper West Side young Orthodox couple, Jay and Phyllis, who have managed to find a precarious equilibrium in their complicated personal and religious lives that is severely tested when Stuart, a gay doctor who is handsome, cocky, and newly Orthodox, invades their lives.
Marans' previous plays include The Temperamentals and Old Wicked Songs.
Calhoun's many credits include Big River, Emma and Grease. He is set to direct the upcoming productions of Newsies and Bonnie & Clyde.
