Jeremy Piven, David Tennant, Russell Tovey, et al. Set for The Pirates! Band of Misfits Film

Stage veterans Jeremy Piven, David Tennant, and Russell Tovey will be among the actors who will provide the voices in The Pirates! Band of Misfits, a stop-motion 3D animated film that will be released on March 30, 2012, according to Deadline.com.

Peter Lord is directing a script by Gideon Dafoe. Hugh Grant, Martin Freeman, Imelda Staunton, Salma Hayek, Brian Blessed, Brendan Gleeson, and Ashley Jenson will also lend their talents to the film.

PIven starred on Broadway in the revival of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow. Tennant appears frequently on UK stages and is about to star in Much Ado About Nothing. Tovey appeared in the London and Broadway productions of The History Boys, as well the film version.
