Horizon Theatre Rep Postpones Robert Lowell's Benito Cereno to Fall 2011

By Andy Propst • May 26, 2011 • New York City
Horizon Theatre Rep has postponed its previously announced production of Robert Lowell's Benito Cereno, until the fall. Directed by Alfred Preisser and featuring fight choreography by Rick Sordelet, the show was to have run June 16 - July 10 at The Flea Theatre.

Based on Herman Melville's novella of the same name, the play, set in 1770, depicts the mysterious events that occur when an American merchant vessel comes upon a battered Spanish ship, that has a nearly all-black crew and a white captain, Benito Cereno.
