Helen Hunt to Star in and Direct Ride Film

Stage and screen star Helen Hunt will direct and star in the new film Ride, according to Deadline.com.
The actress will play a magazine editor who follows her 20-year-old son to Los Angeles after he leaves NYU to pursue the life of a surfer.
Hunt has been seen on stage in Life (x) 3, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, and Our Town. She won an Oscar for her performance in As Good As It Gets, and received four Emmy awards for her work on the NBC sitcom Mad About You.
