GLEE LIVE! 3D! Film, Based on Upcoming Tour, to Be Released August 12

20th Century Fox will release GLEE LIVE! 3D!, a feature film based on the forthcoming Glee Live! In Concert! tour, on August 12, according to a report on Deadline.com. Kevin Tancharoen will direct the project, which will be screened in theaters for two weeks.

The film will include not only segments from the concert, but also behind-the-scenes moments. The tour stars members of the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning TV show, including Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Mark Salling, Dianna Agron, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Harry Shum Jr, Chord Overstreet, Darren Criss and Ashley Fink.

As previously reported, the 16-city tour will kick off with a May 21 performance at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and conclude with a performance at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY on June 18. The concert will feature songs performed on the series, including “Empire State of Mind,” “Toxic,” “It’s My Life,” “My Life Would Suck Without You,” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
