Giuseppe Bausilio to Join Broadway’s Billy Elliot in Title Role

Giuseppe Bausilio will join the Broadway company of Billy Elliot, at the Imperial Theatre, rotating in the title role. He replaces Jacob Clemente, who will play his final performance on Sunday, July 3. Bausilio will start soon thereafter.

Bausilio previously played the role in Chicago and on the national tour of Billy Elliot. He joins Tade Biesinger, Joseph Harrington, and Peter Mazurowski, who also perform the role of Billy.

The principal cast also includes Emily Skinner (Mrs. Wilkinson), Gregory Jbara (Dad), Carole Shelley (Grandma) and Will Chase (Tony), with Neil McCaffrey and Cameron Clifford rotating in the role of Michael.

Based on the 2000 film of the same name, the show tells the tale of a young boy with a dream of being a dancer. The musical features music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, direction by Stephen Daldry, and choreography by Peter Darling.
