Frank Langella to Star in Roundabout’s Broadway Revival of Terence Rattigan’s Man and Boy

Three-time Tony Award winner Frank Langella will star in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Broadway revival of Terence Rattigan’s Man and Boy, to be presented at the American Airlines Theatre, September 9-November 27, with an opening on October 9. Maria Aitken will direct.

Set at the height of the Great Depression, the play follows ruthless financier Gregor Antonescu (Langella), whose business is dangerously close to crumbling. In order to escape the wolves at his door, Gregor tracks down his estranged son Basil in the hopes of using his Greenwich Village apartment as a base to make a company-saving deal.

Langella received an Academy Award nomination for the film version of Frost/Nixon, for which he won his third Tony Award. He also received Tony Awards for his work in Seascape and Fortune’s Fool. Among his many other honors are induction into the 2003 Theatre Hall of Fame, six Drama Desks, three Obies, three Outer Critics Circles, the Drama League, the National Society of Film Critics, the Cable Ace Award, as well as Golden Globe, Emmy and Olivier nominations, an Independent Spirit Award nomination and the Boston Film Critics Award. He last appeared on Broadway in 2008, starring as Sir Thomas More in the Roundabout’s revival of A Man for All Seasons.
