Everett Bradley, Bettye LaVette, Martha Reeves, et al. Set for SummerStage’s Motown Meets NYC Concert

A preliminary lineup of performers has been announced for the City Parks Foundation’s Motown Meets NYC, to be offered on June 14 at 8pm at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. New York Pops Music Director Steven Reineke will conduct the performance which will raise money for the SummerStage.

Featuring the New York Pops, conducted by Steven Reineke, the event will include performances by Martha Reeves, Percy Sledge, Dennis Edwards, Bettye LaVette, Robert Earl Keen, Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Joan Osborne, José James, Amel Larrieux, Deva Mahal, Ryan Shaw, Everett Bradley, Terry Burrell, Ramona Keller, Mykal Kilgore and Destan Owens.

Among the numbers slated for the performance are “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours,” “Dancing in the Street,” and “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” along with a medley tribute to The Jackson 5.
