Christine Pedi to Return to Off-Broadway’s Newsical May 6

Drama Desk nominee and Sirius Radio host Christine Pedi will return to the Off-Broadway cast of Newsical the Musical: Full Spin Ahead, on Friday, May 6.
A broken ankle had forced the star to take an extended absence from the show. As previously reported, two-time Drama Desk nominee Leslie Kritzer filled in for Pedi during most of her three-month absence, with other performances covered by understudy Amy Griffin.
Rick Crom’s topical musical comedy features satirical spoofs of the most up-to-the-minute headlines — including the Royal Wedding, the death of Osama bin Laden and “Trump for President” — which have just been added.
The cast also includes Christina Bianco, Michael West, John Walton West, Amy Griffin and Tommy Walker. Mark Waldrop directs.
The creative team includes Ed Goldschneider (music director), Jason Courson (set designer), Josh Starr (lighting designer), and David Kaley (costume designer).
