Broadway’s Baby It’s You to Add Friday Matinees

The Broadway production of Baby It’s You, at the Broadhurst Theatre, will add special Friday at 2pm matinees beginning the week of June 12.

Inspired by the true story of Florence Greenberg, the woman who in the late 1950’s took the male-dominated music industry by storm, the musical is conceived by Floyd Mutrux, directed by Mutrux and Sheldon Epps, and written by Mutrux and Colin Escott.

Beth Leavel has received a 2011 Tony Award nomination for her portrayal of Florence Greenberg. The cast also includes Erica Ash, Kelli Barrett, Kyra Da Costa, Erica Dorfler, Geno Henderson, Jahi A. Kearse, Allan Louis, Barry Pearl, Christina Sajous, Crystal Starr and Brandon Uranowitz.

The production features musical supervision and arrangements by Rahn Coleman, orchestrations by Don Sebesky, musical direction by Shelton Becton, and choreography by Birgitte Mutrux.

The full playing schedule, as of June 12, will be will be Tuesdays at 7pm, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm, with matinees Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 2pm and Sundays at 3pm.
