Andrea Marcovicci to Offer May 23 Master Class

Andrea Marcovicci will teach a Master Class on the Art of Cabaret on Monday, May 23 at 10:30am in New York City. She will be joined by her long-time musical director and teaching partner Shelly Markham for the session.

During the course of the class, Marcovicci and Markham will work with students on a variety of elements including, but not limited to, song interpretation and musical arrangements. In addition, the event will feature an interview with Marcovicci about her work and career.

Auditors will be able to observe the artistic process of creation and the class will conclude with a Q&A session for all in attendance.

Marcovicci has been seen on Broadway in such shows as Ambassador and Any Given Day, and appeared frequently in films and on television, including the daytime drama Love is a Many Splendored Thing.

As a singer, she has played Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and in concert halls around the world. Her solo albums include Marcovicci Loves Movies, What Is Love?, Just Kern, December Songs, New Words, Live from London, and Some Other Time.

Space is extremely limited. Admittance will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
