Actress Dana Wynter Has Died

Actress Dana Wynter, who appeared on Broadway in the short-lived 1954 play Black-Eyed Susan, has died in California at age 79, according to The Hollywood Reporter.


Wynter was best known for her role as Becky Driscoll in the 1956 science-fiction film, Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Her many other film and television credits include Airport, Shake Hands With the Devil, Sink the Bismarck!, The Man Who Never Was, and Bracken.


She is survived by her son, Mark Bautzer.
