Works by Dan Klores, Adam Rapp, Suzanne Vega and More Part of Rattlestick Playwrights Theater 2010-2011 Season

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will open with filmmaker Dan Klores’ first play Little Doc, beginning performances on June 11 in anticipation of a June 17 opening. John Gould Rubin will direct the piece that is set in the 1970s and focuses on four childhood friends who find themselves in a life-threatening situation.

The season will continue in September with Heidi Schreck’s There Are No More Big Secrets, which centers on a man who returns to the U.S. with his new Russian family. Florencia Lozano’s look at an Argentine family living in New England, underneathmybed, directed by Pedro Pascal, will play at the theater beginning in November.

In January, the theater will premiere Adam Rapp’s Hallway Trilogy, a trio of plays which span 100 years. The final offering in the theater’s season will be a play from songwriter Suzanne Vega, Carson McCullers Talks About Love, to be directed by Kay Matschullat. Vega will play the title character of the piece, which finds reminiscing about love and art and life.
