Tommy Tune’s large-scale, acrylic-on-oil canvas portraits of giraffes will be presented in the exhibition Longnecks, to be on display June 3 – August 29 at the Peter Glebo Gallery.

In describing his work, Tune says “I paint long and tall,” continuing “I champion large paintings in small spaces. They extend the horizons of a room.”

Tune has won nine Tony Awards for acting, direction, and choreography. He is also the recipient of the National Medal of the Arts, eight Drama Desk Awards, two Obie Awards, and two Fred Astaire Awards.

In addition to the paintings, lithographs of a handpicked selection of Tune’s other artwork will also be available for sale.
