Tobias Truvillion Joins Cast of Black Angels Over Tuskegee; Show to Transfer to Actors Temple Theater

Tobias Truvillion will join the company of Layon Gray’s Black Angels Over Tuskegee when it transfers to the Actors Temple Theater, beginning performances June 5. The production will conclude its run at St. Luke Theatre on May 31.

Based on true events, the play is about the first African-American fighter pilots in the U.S. Army Air Forces. The company also features playwright Gray, along with David Wendell Boykins, Steve Brustein, Thaddeus Daniels, Layon Gray, Melvin Huffnagle, and Thom Scott II. In addition, Lawrence Saint-Victor and Lamman Rucker perform at alternating performances.

Truvillion may be best known for his portrayal of Vincent Jones on One Life to Live. He has also appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and has just completed production for the film, Blackout with Jeffrey Wright and Zoe Saldana.
