Jodi Stevens and Robert Cuccioli will play the title characters in Jerry Mayer’s Dietrich and Chevalier: The Musical, to begin performances June 5 at St. Luke’s Theatre, in anticipation of an official opening on June 20. Pamela Hall will direct the production, which will feature musical direction by Ken Lundie and additional musical staging by Gene Castle.

The musical charts the real-life love story of the legendary Marlene Dietrich and Maurice Chevalier, which begins in 1932 and continues through World War II and beyond. The piece will feature many of the songs associated with the two performers, including “Falling In Love Again,” “Louise,” “Lili Marlene,” and “Girls, Girls, Girls.” The company will also feature Donald Corren in multiple roles.
