Peter Francis James to Replace Andre de Shields in Off-Broadway Prophecy

Peter Francis James will replace the previously announced Andre de Shields in the Off-Broadway production of Karen Malpede’s Prophecy, at the East Fourth Street Theater. Playwright Malpede will direct the production. De Shields has withdrawn due to scheduling conflicts with a film that he is in. Previews will now begin on May 29, with a new opening date of June 8.

The cast also features Kathleen Chalfant, George Bartenieff, Najla Said, and Brendan Donaldson. The drama is both the story of a marriage and the personal legacy of the wars in Iraq and Vietnam and centers on a group of people whose lives are surprisingly intertwined.
