Peter Behrens to Narrate A Terrible Beauty at Irish Arts Center

Peter Behrens will narrate the New York premiere of A Terrible Beauty, based on his best-selling novel The Law of Dreams, at the Irish Arts Center, May 21-23. Anders Cato will direct.

The piece tells the story of a young man’s Homeric passage from innocence to experience during the Irish Famine of 1847. It will feature music by Grammy Award-winning composer Paul Sullivan, who will play piano.

Soprano Rose Upton will sing emigrant ballads and songs, and the performance will feature an additional actor, who will portray the book’s protagonist.
