Gregory Itzin to Appear on USA’s Covert Affairs

Stage and screen star Gregory Itzin has signed on for a multi-episode arc on USA’s upcoming spy series Covert Affairs, according to published reports.

The show, which premieres on Tuesday, July 13, stars Broadway veteran Piper Perabo as a young CIA trainee thrust into the field because the agency has taken special interest in her ex-boyfriend. The cast for the series is also set to include Peter Gallagher, Eion Bailey, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Christopher Gorham, Kari Matchett, and Anne Dudek.

Itzin recently appeared on Broadway as Kenneth Lay in Enron. He received a Tony Award nomination for The Kentucky Cycle and his other stage credits include Waiting for Godot, The Birthday Party, Endgame, Shipwrecked! and Dangerous Corner. He also received an Emmy nomination for his role as President Charles Logan on the hit series 24.
