Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Christina Ricci will join 2010 Tony Award nominee Laura Linney, along with Brian d’Arcy James and Eric Bogosian in the previously announced return of Donald Margulies’ Tony-nominated Time Stands Still, which will resume performances on Broadway this fall, beginning previews on September 23 at a theater to be announced. Daniel Sullivan has directed the Manhattan Theatre Club production.

The play focuses on a journalist and a photographer, long-term partners, who share a passion for documenting the realities of war. But when injuries force them to return home to New York, they confront the prospect of a more conventional life. Ricci replaces Alicia Silverstone, who will not be able to continue with the production due to previously scheduled commitments.

The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Rita Ryack (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Darron L West (sound design), Peter Golub (original music), and Thomas Schall (fight direction).

Ricci was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her performance in The Opposite of Sex, with film credits also including The Addams Family, Addams Family Values, Casper, The Ice Storm, Buffalo 66, Sleepy Hollow, and Speed Racer. She was Emmy nominated for a guest appearance on Grey’s Anatomy.
